Why is it one of my favourite bridal makeup?
Probably one of my favourite bridal makeup looks to date is that of Kate Middleton. As we all know and if you don’t know (where’ve you been hiding?) Kate Middleton got married at Westminster Abbey in April 2011 to Prince William.
I adore her makeup because she looked so natural and like what i call a ‘blushing bride’.
She kept her makeup soft and natural but made sure she had a flush of pink on her cheeks and on her lips.
She let her beautiful skin speak for itself and wore a sheer glowing foundation.
She made sure her eyes were defined with black eyeliner on top and bottom lid with black mascara. Kate kept her eyebrows perfectly defined to frame her face beautifully.
Duchess of Cambridge
I love her look so much as she looks like herself. With the flush of colour to compliment the white wedding dress and the radiant skin she definitely looks like a princess. Her makeup looks timeless, there are no makeup trends sitting her face. No carved out instagram brows, no highlighter you can see from the moon and no heavy contouring. Just beautiful natural makeup which will last the test of time. She won’t look back at her wedding day photos and think crikey that was ‘so 2011’!
However ... its not my only favourite bridal look!
Having said that I also adore striking makeup on wedding days too such as 1950s wedding day makeup or makeup where a bride is bringing her style and personality into her look!
